Make Ready to Inspire Change: Capt. Aaron D. Zenon
The 75th Innovation Command's Black History Month celebrations included a trio of candid Q&A interviews: 1. Capt. Aaron D. Zenon, operations officer, Mountain View Battalion, 75th IC A native of Colorado Springs, Zenon heard the calling to join the military when he and his high school freshmen classmates saw the planes hit the Twin Towers on live television Sept. 11, 2001. A decade passed before he enlisted in the Army - unbeknownst to his parents - as a combat engineer at the age of 24. In 2015, Zenon earned his commission through an accelerated, 60-day Officer Candidate School course in Ft. McClennan, Ala. Zenon has called Houston home since he transferred to the 75th IC from the 505th Signal Brigade in 2022 He and his wife, Sonia, a former Marine and current nurse at Texas Children's Hospital, have a four-year-old daughter, Savanna. 2. Chief Warrant Officer 4 Anitia M. Lewis, counterintelligence security operations cell chief & sexual assault response coordinator, 75th IC A native of Beaumont, Texas, Lewis recently celebrated her 29th year of active duty service. She began her Army career as a Military Police officer than transitioned to military intelligence as she entered the warrant officer ranks. Lewis has three children: Deelesia (32) Ebonaire (30) and Bryron, Jr. (20) Lewis recently married Jamison Charles, who recently published his first book entitled "SAVED-ish: Sometimes It's Hell Gettin' To Heaven." 3. Master Sgt. Kisha S. White, military equal opportunity advisor, 75th IC A native of Yazoo, Miss., White began her 29-year military career in the U.S. Air Force Reserve. She earned her Bachelor's in Psychology from The University of Southern Mississippi before transferring to the United States Army Reserve. When not wearing the uniform, Master Sgt. White serves as a Special Project Manager with Harris County, Texas. She is a proud mother of three and loves to sing.
