The Polish Armed Forces Operation Command heads the biggest ever NATO troop deployment in Polish territory in Exercise Anaconda 2014, from 24 September to 3 October. Following the Wales Summit, a non-stop series of exercises has been held to strengthen security and protect the territory and populations in Allied countries in Eastern Europe. Brigadier General Torben Møller stresses the need for continuous exercises to ensure Allied troops remain ready to act. The importance of Anaconda 2014 is evident, as General Hans-Lothar Domröse, Commander JFC Brunssum, the Polish President and the Polish Defence Minister all attend on the final day of the exercise.
