Dr. Christopher Govekar, Ph.D.
Command Executive Officer
Dr. Christopher Govekar (GO-vuh-car) currently serves as the senior federal civilian executive for the 75th United States Army Reserve Innovation Command, headquartered in Houston, but with subordinate units across the United States. As a two-star general command, the 75th is the senior military headquarters in the fourth largest city in the U.S. as well as in the surrounding region.
As CXO, Dr. Govekar carries significant responsibility. One parallel is that the CXO role is similar to that of Chief Executive Officer in an incorporated business. In this parallel, the commanding general is similar to the Chairman of the Board. It is the CXO’s job to be the commander’s direct personal representative on a day-to-day basis, turning the vision of the commander (the Chairman) into action.
