HOUSTON, Texas –
Teammates:
Thanksgiving is a cherished collection of timeless traditions that culminate into feasts that fill our stomachs and warm our hearts. It’s a day when millions of families celebrate unity with gratitude, prosperity with generosity and reflection with jubilation. These values resonate throughout our country, our Army and, of course, the 75th U.S. Army Reserve Innovation Command.
CSM, Chief and I are humbled and honored to lead a cutting edge Command shaped by talented men and women whose commitment to excellence generates innovative ideas that solve the Army’s most complex challenges. Your courage to design and deliver the tools and systems that future generations of Soldiers will bring to bear on the battlefield exemplifies the selfless service that safeguard our great Nation. For that, I join hundreds of millions of Americans in saying, “Thank you.”
To the families who call a 75th USARIC Soldier a spouse, parent, child or sibling, I appreciate your support and commend your resilience. Today’s headlines are fraught with conflict and confusion, but one thing remains certain; without you, there would be no Army, for there would be nothing and no one worthy to defend.
As we share good food and fond memories bound by a bounty of blessings, I would ask that you keep the brave men and woman of our Army, serving abroad, in your thoughts. Thousands of service members remain separated from their loved ones, many of whom stand in harm’s way to defeat the foes of freedom. Wishing you safe travels and the blessings that care, comfort, and camaraderie offer. Happy Thanksgiving and Make Ready!
v/r,
mfk
