Alaska Army Guard Capt. Alex McMahan, left, 49th Personnel Detachment (Theater Gateway) commander, speaks with U.S. Army Reserve Maj. Jamie Benton, center, operations officer with the 3301st Mobilization Support Group, about the opportunity for Reserve and National Guard components to collaborate while supporting the 11th Airborne Division’s Joint Pacific Multi-National Readiness Center-Alaska 23-02 exercise at the Joint Mobility Complex on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, March 12, 2023. The 3rd MSG’s 3301st Mobilization Support Battalion partnered with the 297 RSG’s 49th Personnel Detachment (Theater Gateway) to augment the JPMRC 23-02 AK reception center, track incoming personnel, and keep accountability of exercise participants and their equipment. JPMRC 23-02 AK is designed to facilitate unit readiness in the region and allows commanders to train their forces in unique environments and conditions where they are most likely to deploy in the event of crisis or conflict.
