Alaska Guard, Army Reserve interoperability aids arctic mobilization proficiency
Participants arriving ahead of the 11th Airborne Division’s Joint Pacific Multi-National Readiness Center-Alaska 23-02 exercise are welcomed by members of the U.S. Army Reserve’s 3301st Mobilization Support Battalion and Alaska Army National Guard’s 49th Personnel Detachment (Theater Gateway) after arriving at the Joint Military Complex Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, March 12, 2023. The Alaska-based Guard and Reserve units joined forces as part of their units’ annual training to support the JPMRC 23-02 AK reception center, track incoming personnel, and keep accountability of exercise participants and their equipment. JPMRC 23-02 AK is designed to facilitate unit readiness in the region and allows commanders to train their forces in unique environments and conditions where they are most likely to deploy in the event of crisis or conflict.
