Corps of Engineers lowers Keystone Dam releases

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Tulsa District, reduced the outflow at its Keystone Dam on the Arkansas River, just west of Tulsa, Okla., today. The Corps had been releasing ~275,000 cubic feet per second through the dam's 18 Tainter gates. With inflow into the reservoir holding steady, Corps officials reduced the water releases by 10,000 cfs to 265,000 cfs around 4 p.m., today. The Corps plans additional cuts of 10,000 cfs every six hours as long as the inflow continues to decrease.
