For the first time ever, MCAS Iwakuni’s service members and their families invited local Iwakuni residents to celebrate the annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony on base. The event featured holiday caroling, musical performances, food and retail vendors, a snow park, train rides and more. Culminating with the lighting of the tree in Cherry Blossom Triangle, the event strengthened community ties while ringing in the holiday season.
