F-22 Supports Operation Inherent Resolve

The most recent deployment of 27th Fighter Squadron supported over 250 Air Tasking Orders. 263 weapons were released, 534 sorties were flown providing 4,600+ hours of mission support. The F-22 Raptor and 1st Fighter Wing continue to be “First to the Fight” in the battle against ISIS while providing the airpower to defeat the enemy.

The F-22 Raptor flew its first combat mission as part of the initial strikes on ISIS in Syria on September 23, 2014. Since then, the 1st Fighter Wing and the United States Air Force have continued to dominate the enemy in support of Operation Inherent Resolve: Targeted Operations to Defeat ISIS.
