Army Veterinarians Treat Animals in Chiquimula

Soldiers from the 149th Medical Detachment Veterinary Services treated animals at several sites in Chiquimula during Beyond the Horizon 2014 - Guatemala. Soldiers worked alongside a Guatemalan Veterinarian and Guatemalan Agriculture Officials. Animals were given vaccinations, dewormer, and vitamins. Beyond the Horizon operations engage selected sites in Guatemala, working hand-in-hand with a variety of governmental and non-governmental agencies to train in civil-military operations skill sets while providing medical and dental care and engineering support to local populations.
