Maximilian Moreno, a tuba instrumentalist with the Quantico Marine Corps Band, tells his story about becoming an United States Marine on Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia, Sep. 28, 2023. Moreno grew up in Medellín, Columbia, where opportunities were limited. As a result, his mother made the decision to leave her son behind with her family in order to immigrate to the United States.
