1AD and Fort Bliss Remembrance Sunday 2020
1st Armored Division
Nov. 8, 2020 | 21:41
Remembrance Sunday is held in the United Kingdom as a day to commemorate the contribution of British, Commonwealth and allied military and civilian servicemen and women in the two World Wars and later conflicts. While it started after WW1, it has evolved into a service that remembers all conflicts. It is held at 11am on the second Sunday in November (the Sunday nearest to 11 November, Armistice Day, the anniversary of the end of hostilities in the First World War in 1918). Personnel assigned and attached to 1AD and Fort Bliss came together on Sunday, November 8 to commemorate this special event. (U.S. Army video by Lt. Col. Allie Payne)
