Joint Hometown News Service
May 3, 2013 | 1:26
In 2005, Nathan Dewalt joined the U.S. Navy entering the delayed enlistment program at the beginning of his senior year of high school at West York Area High in York, Pa. Three years later he was hit by a vehicle while riding his motorcycle. His spinal cord was severed at the T3 vertebrae. Despite his injuries and many months of physical therapy, he was inspired to return to the gym and is now largely involved in adaptive sports. Meet Nathan as he tells his story.
