FEMA Corps in New York Help in Recovery After Hurricane Sandy

FEMA Corps is a partnership between FEMA and AmeriCorp and the National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC), made up of young adults ages 18 to 24 year who commit to a 10-month term of full-time service. During Hurricane Sandy, 24 teams composed of 236 individuals, deployed to New York to work in different areas of the disaster.
