Khaan Quest 2016: Service Members From The Malaysian Army Execute The Riot Control Training Lane_Package
U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Pacific
June 1, 2016 | 2:42
Service members from the Malaysian Army execute the riot control training lane during Khaan Quest 2016 at Five Hills Training Area, Mongolia, June 1, 2016. This lane tests participants’ reactions to various scenarios including application of rules of engagement; protection of civilians; and searching tactics and procedures. Riot control is one of eleven training lanes conducted during the exercise that exposes service members to different scenarios they may face during UN Peacekeeping Operations. Malaysian Army Lieutenant Commander Azren, assigned to Joint Force Headquarters, Malaysia, and Mongolian Armed Forces Captain B. Bayasgalan, assigned to unit 337, provide remarks on the training being conducted. Khaan Quest is an annual, multinational peacekeeping operations exercise hosted by the Mongolian Armed Forces, co-sponsored by U.S. Pacific Command, and supported by U.S. Army Pacific and U.S Marine Corps Forces, Pacific. Khaan Quest, in its 14th iteration, is the capstone exercise for this year’s Global Peace Operations Initiative program and focuses on training activities to enhance international interoperability, develop peacekeeping capabilities, build mil-to-mil relationships, and enhance military readiness.
