U.S. Marines with Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron (HMH) 461 and Marine Wing Support Squadron (MWSS) 271 carry meals, ready to eat, practice external lifts and refuel a CH-53K King Stallion at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, Aug. 15, 2023. HMH-461 and MWSS-271 took part in Large Scale Exercise 2023, a globally integrated exercise designed to refine the synchronization of maritime operations across multiple fleets in support of the joint force. The training was based on a progression of scenarios that will assess and refine modern warfare concepts.
