NIBIN is a primary investigative tool to identify shooters and violent crime trends and is a key component of Crime Gun Intelligence (CGI). ATF works with local, state, and other federal agencies to reduce violent crime. This is the story of a key case involving the use of NIBIN in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, and the efforts of law enforcement to bring murderers to justice.
