MRF-SEA Logistics: In Plain Sight
Marine Rotational Force - Southeast Asia
Nov. 13, 2024 | 1:18
Prior to the start of Keris Marine Exercise (MAREX) 2024 on Nov. 6, hundreds of U.S. Marines with Marine Rotational Force – Southeast Asia (MRF-SEA) converged on Batam, Indonesia, from multiple countries to train with the Indonesian Korps Marinir. MRF-SEA logistics personnel ensured the rotational force’s movements remained low cost and low signature through the use of commercial aircraft flights and commuter ferry services to achieve intratheater movement of personnel and materials, in the air and throughout the littorals. “MRF-SEA Logistics: In Plain Sight” provides the audience a first-person perspective of how each member of MRF-SEA travels throughout the Indo-Pacific region to train with partners and allies, building interoperability and ensuring a persistent presence in the region. MRF-SEA is a rotational unit derived from elements of I Marine Expeditionary Force executing a U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Pacific operational model that involves training events and exchanges with partner military subject matter experts, promotes security goals with Allied and partner nations, and ensures a persistent I MEF presence west of the International Date Line.
