In 1962, the CH-46 “Sea Knight” medium-lift transport helicopter, affectionately called a “Phrog” was added to the U.S. Armed Forces arsenal of aircraft. For more than 50 years the Marine Corps has used it to transport troops, equipment, supplies, and more in support of operations, relief efforts, and conflicts.
