Canadian soldiers, assigned to the Qayyarah West Canadian Training Team, instruct Iraqi provincial
police members assigned to the 4th Ninawa Emergency Response Battalion on combat first aid and
tactical movement on Qayyarah West Airfield, Iraq, May 22, 2019. Iraqi students go through a four‐
week Wide Area Security Forces class taught by Canadian soldiers to learn essential combat skills like
first aid, tactical movement, urban operations, and detainee procedures to enhance the Iraqi Security
Forces’ combat skills and self‐sufficiency. Coalition Forces are in Iraq at the invitation of the
