UAS operator discusses MRF-D's first flight of RQ-21A in Australia
Marine Rotational Force - Darwin
Aug. 7, 2020 | 9:49
U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Jonathon Schumer with Air Combat Element, Marine Rotational Force - Darwin discusses the significance of the Marine Corps' first flight of the RQ-21A Blackjack in Australia at Bradshaw Field Training Area, Northern Territory, Aug. 7, 2020. Schumer, a native of Inola, Okla., is an unmanned aircraft system operator, trained to fly the RQ-21A. The RQ-21A provides aerial surveillance in austere environments without leaving more than a small footprint, as it doesn't require an airstrip to deploy. (U.S. Marine Corps video by Cpl. Harrison Rakhshani)
