BoM squad remains steadfast in material distribution
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth District
April 2, 2018 | 0:14
After Hurricanes Irma and Maria devastated Puerto Rico in September 2017, logistical challenges to receiving materials presented by the island’s geographical separation from the mainland has limited modes of transportation available for shipping. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers “Bill of Materials” squad remains committed to distributing important materials. Here, is a time lapse video of metal and wooden poles being distributed at Pier 16 in San Juan, Puerto Rico April 2 and disseminated to more than six municipalities. In less than three hours, more than 15 trucks were loaded and sent to their designated locations to make maximum contributions towards final emergency restoration for the people of Puerto Rico.
