Each year, the Soldiers from the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit partner up with Fort Benning's Morale, Welfare, and Recreation Office to host the Fort Benning Multi-gun Challenge.

The action shooting style competition brings more than 250 of the top shooting sports competitors from across the United States to Columbus, Georgia to vie for top honors. For three days, the competitors (mostly civilian) run through 12 different stages and fire over 500 rounds to see who is the fastest and most accurate.

The USAMU Soldiers do not compete in the match but rather facilitate it, which allows the competitors to meet National, International and World-Class shooting sports Soldiers. The Fort Benning MWR office handles all of the registration and management of the match.
