GREYWOLF (3ABCT, 1CD) conducts a Combined-Arms Live-Fire Exercise (CALFEX)
III Armored Corps
Jan. 22, 2025 | 1:07
The 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team (3ABCT), 1st Cavalry Division, hosted a media day, inviting news outlets from across Central Texas to witness their operations firsthand. The event coincided with the brigade’s Combined-Arms Live-Fire Exercise (CALFEX), offering a rare and dynamic display of military capabilities. A highlight of the day was the dramatic detonation of a Mine Clearing Line Charge (MICLIC) fired from an Assault Breacher Vehicle—an event not seen at Fort Cavazos in a decade. The MICLIC, a critical tool for clearing minefields, showcased the cutting-edge training and readiness of the brigade.
