Upon moving from Hamilton Air Force Base, Calif., to Travis AFB, Calif., on July 25, 1969, the Reserve Citizen Airmen of the then-349th Military Airlift Wing began flying the C-141 Starlifter, and thus entered the age of the jet engine cargo aircraft.
