B-Roll and soundbites showing how the crew of the USAV Five Forks (LCU 2018) worked together with the crew of the US Navy's USNS Catawba (T-ATF 168) in the first of many interactions between the services. The army mariners are from the 481st Transportation Company, 1st Detachment out of Vallejo, Calif. This towing exercise is the first of many exercises planned between Army, Mariners and Navy sailors. The USAV Five Forks (LCU 2018) can cruise at an average of 10 knots. The exercise was simply a day trip for the Five Forks. They met the USNS Catawba (T-ATF-168) somewhere in the Persian Gulf. The Catawba, pronounced Ca'-taba, is operated by the military sealift command for the US Navy. Also available in high definition
