Mass Casualty Decontamination Training
361st Theater Public Affairs Support Element
April 23, 2023 | 6:56
U.S Soldiers with the 300th Chemical Company and 355th Medical Company Area Support run a Mass Casualty Decontamination (MCD) line during Guardian Response 2023 at Muscatatuck Training Center, Indiana, April 23, 2023. This particular MCD line training exercise operated for 24 hours, and two teams split operations for 12 hours each. The U.S. Army Reserve Soldiers ran two lanes: ambulatory and non-ambulatory. Providing timely and appropriate responses to an incident remains one of the Army’s vital operational concepts. This year the training reinforces military medical, decontamination, and personnel recovery skills while preparing the Department of Defense to work in coordination with local communities during an unforeseen disaster.
