The Ohio Army National Guard Combatives Team competes for individual and team trophies at the 2024 Lacerda Cup All-Army Combatives Tournament at Fort Moore in Columbus, Ga. April 11-14, 2024. The All-Army Combatives Tournament was renamed to honor the late Staff Sgt. Pedro Brandao Lacerda, former ranger in the 75th Ranger Regiment, who was known for his lethal hand to hand combat skills. The U.S. Army Combatives Program enhances unit combat readiness by building soldiers’ personal courage, confidence, and resiliency as well as their situational responsiveness to close quarters threats in the operational environment.
