U.S. Soldiers of the 507th Engineer Battalion, 1433rd Combat Engineer Company-Infantry and 1st Battalion, 147th Aviation Regiment execute helocast training from a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter during annual training at Camp Grayling, Mich., on June 11, 2024. A helocast is an airborne technique that allows forces to insert into an area by jumping directly from a helicopter into water. Annual training is typically a 15-day training period that allows Soldiers to execute complex training plans in order to increase proficiency in unit essential tasks. Service members of the Michigan National Guard train to strengthen their profession and maintain readiness to win our nation’s wars. (U.S. Army National Guard video by Staff Sgt. Drake Chandler)
