Soldiers from the 1039th returned to Arkansas from their Afghanistan deployment on Wednesday, May 15, 2013. The Marked Tree and Harrisburg based Soldiers were greeted by friends, family and fellow soldiers at the Armed Forces Reserve Center in Jonesboro, Ark.
The Soldiers were in Afghanistan for about nine months on a route clearance mission and a mission to assist in training the Afghan National Army.
