Celebrating Texas Military History at the Alamo with the Military Ambassadors
Joint Base San Antonio
April 16, 2015 | 2:35
Fiesta Fiesta is the official kickoff event for San Antonio’s biggest celebration Fiesta San Antonio, a 10-day long series of events honoring the defenders who fought in "Battle of the Alamo" and the "Battle of San Jacinto” in 1836, both important events that shaped the history of Texas and this country. Our Joint Base San Antonio Military Ambassadors joined Fiesta royalty and special guests to start the festivities with a flash mob dance, confetti, fireworks and lots of people in wild hats, crazy outfits and Fiesta medals. The Fiesta San Antonio Commission preserves and promotes the culture, history, heritage and traditions of San Antonio and every event and activity raises funds for educational and other worthy causes in the Alamo City.
