Army war-fighting assessment or AWA are evaluations that develop interim solutions to the army war-fighting challenges and will focus on exploring new ideas, not just for technology, but on tactics and concepts as well. AWA helps the army refine and improve concepts and capabilities beyond the constraints of the formal testing environment presets in network integration evaluation or NIE.
