364th Expeditionary Sustainment Command
March 4, 2012 | 2:59
Over 1,400 service members at Camp Virginia in Kuwait participate in the 15th Annual Bataan Memorial March on March 4, 2012 on a windy and dusty morning. They endured a 13.1 or 26.2 mile road march to honor and remember those who suffered through the brutal Bataan Death March during World War II in the Philippine Islands. April 9, 2012, marks the 70th anniversary of the fall of Bataan in the Philippine Islands during World War II. Soundbites include Sgt. Christopher Bigelow, from Kent, Wash., a public affairs NCO with the 36th ESC describes his experience completing the 26.2 mile march with a 35-pound rucksack and Staff Sgt. Steven Minters, from University Place, Wash., surgeon section NCOIC for the 364th ESC tells us why he completed the march and the motivation he derived from the history of Bataan. Produced by Sgt. Joe A. Villines. Also available in High Definition.
