Coast Guard Island CG Remember 100-mile relay

In the predawn hours of May 18, 2013, runners ran around Coast Guard Island for CG Remember, a relay event held to honor Coast Guard members who died in the line of duty. Throughout the day, various runners carried a baton inscribed with the names of a 131 people, the number of fallen since 1978, 100 times around the Island to honor their memory and remember their sacrifice.
