Jennifer Cunningham of Bremerton, Washington, gives a shout out to her husband in honor of Military Spouse Appreciation Day, celebrated on May 8, 2020. Congress officially established National Military Spouse Appreciation Day, celebrated the Friday before Mother’s Day, as an annual observance in 1999 to honor the contributions and sacrifices made by military spouses.Camp Lemonnier is an operational installation that enables U.S., allied and partner nation forces to be where and when they are needed to en sure security in Europe, Africa and Southwest Asia.
