Reserve Marines competing in the 4th Marine Division Super Squad Competition, tackle an obstacle course at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richadson, Anchorage, Alaska, Aug. 3, 2018. The obstacle course evaluated each squads ability to work as a team, demonstrate problem solving and small unit leadership skills, and marked the beginning of the competition. The Annual Rifle Squad Competition provides an environment that allows members of each squad to exercise their technical and tactical proficiencies and receive valuable feedback on their performance. Squad members are evaluated throughout each stage of the competition, which helps refine and strengthen the capabilities they bring to the fight. (U.S. Marine Corps video by Sgt. Justin A.
