USS Miguel Keith (ESB-5), a Lewis B. Puller class expeditionary sea base, brings a broad range of military capabilities to enhance Marine Corps distributed operations as part of the Naval Expeditionary Force (NEF). The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps' only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premier crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region.
