XVIII Airborne Corps dedicated the Joint Innovation Outpost to Lt. Gen. James M. Gavin during a naming ceremony at Fort Liberty, North Carolina, Nov. 14, 2024. Lt. Gen. Christopher Donahue, commanding general of the XVIII Airborne Corps gave remarks, as well as Chloe Gavin-Beatty, the daughter of Lt. Gen. James M. Gavin. Gavin was a World War II veteran and the Army's first Head of Research and Development and was known for pioneering air assault capabilities. (U.S. Army video by Spc. Samuel Puleo)
