Marines test new cost-cutting artillery round (Interviews)

Marines with 10th Marine Regiment held a demonstration for the M1122 artillery round, which the Marine Corps is evaluating to be used as a suitable mix with the M795 high explosive projectile by 2017. The M1122 artillery round is less expensive and maintains ballistic, appearance, and function similarities of the M795 round. Representatives from the 2nd Marine Division leadership, 2nd, 6th and 8th Marine Regiments attended the demonstration. (U.S. Marine Corps video by Cpl. Zachary Montgomery, Cpl.
