U.S. Marines assigned to the I Marine Expeditionary Force and local Los Angeles first responders provided a firsthand look into the resources and capabilities of local and military first responders in the event of disaster, during Los Angeles Fleet Week 2018, Aug. 28, 2018. LAFW 18 provides an opportunity for the Marine Corps and Navy to demonstrate the capabilities of the Blue-Green team and quality of personnel to the citizens of Los Angeles and surrounding areas. I MEF provides the Marine Corps a globally responsive, expeditionary, and fully scalable Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF), capable of generating, deploying, and employing ready forces and formations for crisis response, forward presence, major combat operations, and campaigns.
