PP19: Veterinarian Services Provided at Cooperative Health Engagement

U.S. servicemembers, Philippine servicemembers and Tacloban city health care professionals hosted a community health engagement at Tigbao Diit Elementary School to provide medical services and education to the local community, March 15. Veterinarian services were also provided during the cooperative health engagement to help manage the stray dog population and reduce the spread of dog-related diseases. Pacific Partnership, now in its 14th iteration, is the largest annual multinational humanitarian assistance and disaster relief preparedness mission conducted in the Indo-Pacific. Each year, the mission team works collectively with host and partner nations to enhance regional interoperability and disaster response capabilities, increase stability and security in the region, and foster new and enduring friendships across the Indo-Pacific region.
