Heavy Equipment at Upper Margarita

Heavy equipment machinery is used to remove the temporary sheet pile and earthen plug placed during the construction of the Upper Margarita concrete channel. The temporary measure was used to divert the water from Margarita Channel in order to perform the construction operations safely under dry conditions. The completion of this project will contribute to the flood mitigation on Margarita Channel and surrounding areas. Approximately 60 percent of the sheet pile and earthen plug has been removed to date. May 2, 2019
