Motivated to keep pushing, keep moving
200th Military Police Command
May 17, 2019 | 3:32
U.S. Army Reserve military police Soldiers from various units across the United States integrated their efforts to train on detention operations and combat support tasks during a Combat Support Training Exercise cycle at Fort Hunter Liggett, California, during the month of May, 2019. Throughout the training event, the group of MPs were led by the 535th Military Police Battalion, headquartered in Cary, North Carolina. The detention operation and combat support were conducted by the 348th MP Company, 88th MP Company and the 308th MP Company. Detention operations is critical to the fight because it holds MPs responsible for securing and caring for enemy prisoners of war (EPW) and displaced civilians. During this training cycle, the MPs constructed a Theater Detention Facility (TDF) which can secure up to 4,000 EPWs or other personnel. In their combat support role, MPs provide mobility support, which allows friendly forces the freedom of movement across the battlefield through route reconnaissance, surveillance, area security, traffic enforcement and more.Security and mobility support is an MP discipline conducted to protect the force and noncombatants and preserve the commander's freedom of action.
