Excavation work close to the Soldier's Field (Sportsfield) near the Rheinlander Club, in Baumholder
Germany. The Buildings 8688, 8687 and 8686 are already teared down. Here and below the
Rheinlander Club Building will be build a total of 70 new Townhouses. Today a German Construction Company do groundworks and searching the area for aircraft bombs and other remains of World War II or metal that forget during the post-war era. Baumholder was several times bombed by the U.S. Air Force and the British Royal Air Force in World War II. You still find relicts from wartime.
